Decramp

The Monday night Freeride was called on account of poor attendance,  so I bailed home and went for a spin around the neighborhood on the Ellsworth.  The mud from the last Wailuna ride was dried and flaking off of the frame and tires, and there was still grass and ferny bits stuck in the chainrings and elsewhere.  It took me longer than I had expected to get out of the house because I couldn’t find the cap to my Soma bike bottle.  Robert Goulet must have been inside my house messing with my stuff…

Out on the road, I climbed up to the top of the neighborhood and passed the two HPD officers waiting to bust illegal hikers exiting the old Omega station road.  I did my normal training loop over to WCC and did some laps.  My left Achilles’ tendon was hurting all last week, and on Saturday morning, I woke up with a left calf cramp that left me limping all weekend.  After the ride, all of that was history.  The legs and lungs felt great – just one of those days.  I called it short because the daylight was running out and ripped it back home.

The Ellsworth has broken in nicely – the fork and rear suspension feel very smooth now.
